ReplyDeleteMy name is Melinda Roberts; I'll be your professor for this class. I'm a fourth generation Californian, born in Martinez, near Berkeley, in Northern California. I've been teaching at WCC since 2007; I taught in California for 10 years before moving to New York in 2005. I have a BA in English and Comparative Literatures and a minor in Sociology; I have my Master's Degree in TESOL. In five years I expect to be pretty much in the same place, although I would like to be living in a more rural area than where I am now. I enjoy anything related to the arts (music, literature, theatre, movies). I also enjoy traveling -- have visited many countries outside the United States, but have decided that, at the end of the day, there really is "no place like home." My hobbies are needlepoint and knitting, photography, visiting historical sites, and taking care of my four-legged "kids" - Clarence Sebastian and Maxwell (the kitties), and Maxine (70 pounds of lean, mean canine).
Hi, My name is Nadiya and i was born in St. Petersburg, Russia. I have been an WCC for one semester and a half. I took a summer course here before. My major is Political Science and minor in international politics. In Five years I see my self with a Masters Degree and two kids. My hobbies are to write poetry and I also like to draw. Something interesting about me is I am a Junior Olimpic Champion in Martial arts for fighting.
ReplyDeleteHello all, my name is George and if your not sure who I am... i'm the guy with the Bryan Adams ring-tone that went off in the middle of class (sorry about that). I was born in new rochelle ny, I have been going to wcc on and off for about 5 semesters and my major is FILM. In five years I see myself making/directing/writing movies and comercials while finishing up school at suny purchase. My hobbies are anything involving video cameras and comedy.
ReplyDeleteHey. I'm Michelle. I was born in the Bronx, NY. This is my fourth semester at WCC. I'm majoring in Early Childhood Education. In five years I see myself doing the work I love either in the same place I am now or, hopefully, someplace better. My hobby is watching tv. I love doing that as well as reading. I read alot. I can sing somewhat and in my opinion I'm a funny person. Something interesting is...well there's nothing interesting about me...I'm very boring person. Ok Thanks. Bye.

My name is Melissa. i was born in San Jose, Costa Rica., and i have been in WCC for four semesters.. this is my second major and it is International Business, my fist one is education..I'm a teacher back in my country and i miss being a teacher, but it is fun go to school as a student too... I take care of one girl and she is like my baby who i have fun everyday... I love to read when the book is interesting for me... ok bye take care everybody...

ReplyDeleteWhat's up class my name is Nelson. I was born in Manhattan, NY. This is currently my second semester and WCC. I am not quite sure what my degree focus is but I have always had a passion for helping others, so I may look to pursue something in education. In five years I see myself with a bachelors working towards a masters degree, living comfortably in NYC or Puerto Rico. I enjoy playing basketball, watching mentally stimulating reality tv shows like Jersey shore, and writing slam poetry.

My major is Computer Science and minor is accounting, however I am very interested in joining the Coast Guard really soon. In the future I see my self working in the career that I like and that best fits me. I love sports such as football, soccer, baseball, I love to dance, watch comedy shows and I like challenges. ReplyDeleteHi everybody, My name is Alephia and I was born in Peekskill, N.Y. I have attended WCC for five semesters and I am studying Social Work in Human Service Curriculum. I already work in my field of study and would like to further my career. In five years, I most definetly see myself married with children/pets, while planning my own private practice. I have many interests including Reading/Writing, Traveling, Art/Music, Critiquing Movies, Tennis, Snorkeling, and other various outdoor activities...I have a duality to my personality in that I am quite organized/analytical in my ways, yet I truly love being spontaneous/adventuresome, as well as take some healthy risks to stir things up a bit!

ReplyDeleteHello, I am Andrew Owusu-Ansah a native of Ghana a country in West Africa. This semester is my fourth in WCC and am planning on going to a four year college to complete my degree in Pharmacy or Nursing. I am very optimistic about where am going to be in five years time however,I plan to be at the U.N pharmaceutical company in South Africa researching on drugs that could cure HIV/AIDS. I have a diverse hobby but I`m particularly interested in soccer. I also love to argue just about anything and that has compelled me to take courses in Philosophy. The first thing you will see during your encounter with me is my smile and it draws lot of people to me and that`s part of the reason why i have numerous friends from all backgrounds. I also have a lot of patience and a good sense of humour.

I am studying criminal justice because I plan on being a police officer. I love sports. I was a varsity football player for New Rochelle Highschool and was a part of the 2206 and 2007 section championship teams. I also enjoy listening to music and lifting weights.
ReplyDeleteHi my name is chane' mack. I was born and raised in white plains ny. Ive ben @ wcc since the fall of 2007. My major is business administration. I plan to graduate by the end of the summer or maybe in january. In about five years i plan to have my own business up and running while attending school for my BA degree. My hobbies are being a full time mom to my 10 month old daughter. i also enjoy playing Gears of War 1 and 2 on x box live with my xbox 360. I also enjoy life in the fast lane (racing cars) I do see a need for speed sometime, which i enjoy very much.

I tried the nursing thing and realized it wasnt what i want to do for the rest of my life so i switched to fashion. My goal in 5 years is to further my career ar nordstrom and become a merchandise buyer. I love to sketch clothing and read but i must admit i have been lazy. ReplyDeleteHola amigos! My name is Victor Wilson and I am from Brooklyn, NY but I currently live in Bronxville, NY. This is my third semester at WCC and I am working towards getting my Associates Degree and EMT license. In five years I see myself being a Paramedic or a firefighter and I hope to be very successful in what I choose to do. I am very quiet and usually dont talk to people unless I have to or unless they seem interesting. I like to watch Family Guy, Meet the Browns, The Office (very funny shows). I also like Smallville, listening to music and Im very big on going to the gym and working out
ReplyDeleteHello! My name is Valentina. I was born and raised in Scarsdale NY. I have completed my first year at WCC and am now on my second year. My career path that I hope to accomplish is medicine. I plan to hopefully transfer out into a 4 year University by September of this coming year. In 5 years, I see myself being in my first year as an anesthesiologist (it would hopefully be my first year in residency). My special interests are playing sports, writing music, and baking. One interesting aspect about me is that I have been doing MMA fighting for 7 years and was a 2 year champion.

ReplyDeleteMy name is Zoe DeBenedetto. I was born in Mount Kisco, NY. This is my second semester at WCC. I am not getting a degree, because I'm actually a senior in high school, which I guess could also count as an interesting fact about me. I finished all the english courses at my school which is why I'm taking this course. Next year I will be attending Barnard College in New York City, so in five years, I will hopefully be a Barnard graduate. I'm very interested in writing, and pretty much anything English related. I hope to be a journalist or some type of writer in the future.
Hello all, sorry for being fashionably late. My name is Jeffrey and I was born in the Bronx. This is currently my first semester at WCC and I'm majoring in Communication with a minor focus in Advertising. I plan on working in Public Relations for a firm that represents actors in Hollywood or a major sports team. My fall-back plan to all this is to be a film star. In five years I plan on working on the road regardless of what my career entails, I LOVE to travel. My major interests are Baseball, Soccer, tennis and movies. I'm pretty talented in the music and film field. I write a lot of my own material in both respects. My hobbies include watching as many movies as possible and hearing as much new music as possible. I guess the most interesting thing about me is how eclectic I am. I love learning anything I can, which has led me to obtain plenty of useless information. Yet, at the end of the day, I can always make a connection with any person from any walk of life always.
